Paint Creek Park Corridor Bike Route
One of our prized routes!!!!
(10 miles Round Trip, or you can park and ride as short or as long as you want all along the route!)
This is a great bike ride for beginners, as it is mostly down hill from the parking area at the entrance to the park across from the campground, so if you park a shuttle car at the bottom by the French Broad, where the paved roadway ends, or at the Love Road Parking area or anywhere in between, you can mostly coast downhill and get a ride back up to the first car, where you started with your bikes! Its about 5 miles down and 5 miles back up the hill,
to come back from the French Broad River, where the gravel road and hybrid bike route continues to Hot Springs, NC at River Road. The uphill portion of this route can certainly be a challenge because it is mostly all uphill when heading from the River Road/French Broad area to the Park Entrance/Campground end! Keep this in mind if you ever take the Paint Creek to Hot Springs Hybrid Bike Trip and park accordingly!!!
