HISTORY
The Greeneville Hiking Club was founded in 1984 by Denise Ashworth, a former employee of the U.S. Forest Service. The club's membership roll currently exceeds a hundred members from Greene and surrounding counties in Northeast Tennessee along with several out of state members. The club added cycling to its outdoor activities and in 2017 changed its name to the Greeneville TN HIking & Cycling Club. The Club continues to evolve with its members and local interests and in an effort to meet the interest of newcomers to the area and the club.
We are a great group of various outdoor enthusiasts who love and enjoy the beauty of the area and our great gift of the EARTH!
