DIRECTORS AT LARGE
Along with our club officers, these folks are the leaders of our club team and are those who make our events happen, they lead us in hikes, cycling events, and other club, community and special events. Active participation by all team members is what makes a successful club. We encourage all of our members to take an active role in participating in, and in assuming leadership roles.
We appreciate the great efforts of those who work out front leading and those,
Who most importantly work behind the scenes to make things happen!
Every one's effort is valued!

Hike Leader
Joe HortonHi, I am Joe Horton. Just two years with the Greeneville Hiking Club. Moved here full time from Florida in 2017 after retiring from a thirty year career in the fire service. I have always been the outdoor type and the hiking club is just the right mix for me. There are so many great, amazing people over here that I've met on our hikes. At my ripe old age of 56, the adventures in my second chapter of life have just begun! I look forward to meeting more of you.

Ron SmithHike Leader
Ron Smith lives in the Cedar Creek area with Anne, along with 5 dogs, 3 cats, and a rooster. Ron grew up in Northwest Pennsylvania and graduated from Penn State University. He is a retired civil engineer, working for 38 years with the same company designing steel supports for tunnels, shafts and mines. During that time, he was transferred 5 times to different states, and travelled throughout the U.S. and abroad. His passion was volleyball, which he played for 50 years, until a knee injury forced him to stop. These days he plays golf, volunteers, helps at the local library, and reads. Ron is a relatively new member of the club, joining in 2016.
